Environmental Construction Monitoring for US I-95 Improvements
The Maryland Transportation Authority adopted the I-95 Master Plan in 2003 to address capacity and safety concerns along this heavily trafficked highway. Section 100 of this project is currently the most congested section of I-95 in Maryland, north of Baltimore City. CEM is assisting MdTA on this project by serving as an Independent Environmental Monitor, responsible for daily monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with all environmental permits, and leveraging our experience with the web-based Environmental Monitor Toolkit. This is the largest, recent project undertaken by MdTA, and the first where they have utilized an IEM.
